Old Dominion University (ODU), with support from the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy (DMME) and selected sponsors, will host the 2008 Eastern Virginia Energy Conservation Conference (EVEC 2008). EVEC 2008 is devoted to identifying and correcting sources of energy waste and improving energy efficiency. Today's high cost of energy and our concern with protecting our planet make this the "must do" event of the year. Our topics and a stellar list of speakers, presenters, and exhibitors have been selected to address your interests and concerns.
Hear renowned speakers and talk with exhibitors about how you can make a difference conserving energy and learning how to save money. Our distinguished speakers include: Senator Frank Wagner and David Heacock (CEO, Dominion Power).
EVEC 2008 will be held May 14th and 15th at Old Dominion University's Ted Constant Convocation Center. All sessions, reception, and meals will be held at the venue. Free parking is conveniently located next door.
Attendees should include those responsible for energy-related decisions in manufacturing, businesses, industry, local government (including plant and infrastructure supervisors), and DoD related interests. Expect to gain valuable information from our presenters and breakout sessions covering topics including:
